What is Support Our Troops?
Support our Troops aims to honor those who are serving or have served in the military. Promoting a spirit of country and appreciation within the school and community. The members of Support our Troops promise to show gratitude for those who honorably served the nation through service projects, awareness, care packages, and letters.
What Has Support Our Troops Done?
In the 2012-2013 school year, Support Our Troops, has done several activities to raise awareness for Support Our Troops. The club has been extremely active and has put on a number of incredible campaigns to increase participation of the appreciation of America's troops. These activities include hosting multiple letter writing campaigns at Ursuline for soldiers, celebrating Veteran's day by passing out ribbons for all the students to wear, hosting a bake sale, hosting a red T-shirt day in support of the troops, having a September 11th awareness day, sponsoring Ms. Chevallier's military panel on Global Issues Day at Ursuline, and on May 18th, hosting a "Fun Run" at Bachman Lake.
